| The Industrial Pollution Prevention & Control (IPPC) services of Environment Division (ED) were commenced in 1983. The activities of the division were further strengthened in 1985 through the bilateral technical co-operation project between the Govt. of India and the Govt. of Federal Republic of Germany. The services are aimed at providing comprehensive solution to the environmental problems of the industry, ranging from problem identification, monitoring, analysis and detailed engineering design of appropriate pollution prevention and control devices. The unique feature of IPPC services is the emphasis on pollution prevention for increased profitability and productivity of the industrial enterprise, through introduction of the concepts of waste minimization and resource conservation, minimizing the cost of treatment while also meeting compliance of environmental norms. We offer services to the industry for prevention and control of pollution, and to the Government in the area of policy formulation. |
